  7.     I currently blame internet for four 3DO sales and possible
  8. more.  I believed the magazines and what they said that the 3DO was a
  9. bad system that I shouldn't buy all games were interactive movies
  10. ettc.....But after a few weeks of 3DO newsgroup reading and reading
  11. about Super Wing Commander.  I was hooked and bought one and never
  12. looked back...  That was in may... And now I am looking forward to a
  13. huge batch of 3do games (including Super Street Fighter I want to beat
  14. people up) but still the best game period is Star Controller II...
  15.  
  16.     So after buying one I showed to my little brother who is 16.
  17. He gets all the latest rags including Nintendo Power, Game Pro, and
  18. other rags of game magazines.  I showed him my 3DO and he was hooked
  19. and bought it for almost exclusivly John Madden and Super Wing
  20. Commander...  He bought it in August.  He has told me that he loves
  21. the games for it and thinks that they are better than other system (he
  22. uses Road Rash and Star Controller II now as a good reason to own one)
  23. and of course he can't wait for Super Street Fighter II whatever we
  24. will call it this week.

  26.     Well now in september he has friends in his neighborhood and
  27. he has showed it to a fourteen year old..  He sold his genesis and cd
  28. rom for it and bought a 3do (with jurrsasic park non-interactive ugh).
  29. And he is happy with it any ENJOYS Shadow Warrior(Yes that aweful
  30. game)!  But he is planning on buy SSFIIWEEE  and Star Controller II(which
  31. is not availble in the Green Bay area that they know of :-O).

  33.     Now in october tommorrow I am going with a 25 year old friend
  34. to a store and he is going to buy a 3DO mainly for three games Star
  35. Contoller II, Guardian War, and Road Rash.  He is thinking of buying
  36. 3DO version of Super Wing Commander but decide instead to wait for
  37. wing commander III.  He is buying a 3DO mainly because of the games
  38. for he was going to buy a genesis but the games are not what he likes
  39. to play and those are mainly comming out for the 3DO...
  40.  
  41.     What is the point.. First my brother, his friends , and I read
  42. game magazines if I beilieved totally what they said I would of not
  43. bought a 3DO and these other three people would of not.

  45.     Second point word of mouth from internet made me buy it :-)
  46. And I think game compaines should use newgroups as a way to inform
  47. customers kind of a clearing house of information on the game
  48. itself...  Just a few things like release dates, reply to message
  49. about a game and any little codes that might may their game more
  50. exciting and playable...

  52.     Third point these people are now embassidors of 3DO's good
  53. will...  I have three people who are serious about buying a 3DO
  54. (mainly because of Star Controller II- who thought that would be a
  55. system seller) And basicly according to my brother he claims that he
  56. know eight of his friends who are now saving/buying a 3DO for Star
  57. Controller II or Super Street Fighter we want more money...
  58.  
  59.     I think the 3DO is a great place to get honest info about 3DO
  60. that is more honest than the magazines.  My brother calls me weekly to
  61. get info from me from what I read on the internet so he can make more
  62. "inform" decisions..  Eventully the magazines might like the 3DO but
  63. until than internet is the information source for me.
